FAQ

Fan: Airflow and Static Pressure | Engineering Support

Are you familiar with how to interpret this graph?

Air Flow (Q): This represents the volume of air moving through the fan's outlet or intake over a specific period. It is typically measured in CFM (cubic feet per minute) or CMM (cubic meters per minute).

Air Pressure (P): This indicates the pressure difference created by the fan between the air outlet and intake. It is usually measured in millimeters of the water column (mmH₂O), similar to how a millimeter mercury column measures atmospheric pressure. However, the difference is minimal, so mmH₂O is the standard unit.

The airflow volume and pressure can be regulated by adjusting the fan speed or using the gate, ensuring the maximum speed does not surpass the specified limit.
